"On March 10, 2023, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the People's Republic of China will join the convention signed in The Hague on October 5, 1961 on the waiver of diplomatic or consular authentication (superauthentication) of public documents used abroad. The instrument of accession, which the country officially deposited with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands on March 8, 2023, will enter into force on November 7, 2023.
According to this, the diplomatic super-authentication of mainland Chinese documents to be used abroad will be replaced by Apostille certificates issued by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign affairs offices. Starting from this deadline, our Consulate General will not carry out diplomatic super-accreditation activities."
