Opening hours of the Consular Section during winter holidays season

Dear Clients,

Please be informed that from the 29th December 2023 - except for cases of urgent emergency involving a Hungarian citizen - the Consular Section will be closed.

The last date for visa applications at the satellite visa application centres of VFS Global (Nanjing, Hangzhou, Fuzhou) is the 15th December 2023. The last date for submitting visa applications at the Shanghai centre of VFS Global is the 20th December, 2023. After this date, the Consular Section of the Consulate General of Hungary will accept visa applications until the end of the year, with prior appointments. Please send your enquiries and appointment requests to visa.shg@mfa.gov.hu.

Assessing the new needs, the day of 27-28 December 2023 on the Consulate General, we still accept D applications for the purpose of obtaining a residence permit. Please use the appointment booking system for check-in, which will be open on a limited basis on the above two days, only to receive D requests.

As of the 02nd January 2024, the Consular Section and the offices of the external service provider (VFS Global) will be open for business as usual, appointments can be booked on the following pages:
